Someplace To Hide was a band from Oklahoma City that played heavy, melodic screamo. The release of their split marked their final show, though they played once more in January of 2008.
The Red Scare was an emotional hardcore band from Knoxville, TN. The band was formed in August 1997. The band is mostly known for their split with Orchid, although they should've been known for their awesome sound. After recording their last album, their guitarist/vocalist moved to New York City, starting a new band called Panthers with former Orchid members.
Reno Kid, also referred to the German Mineral, was a German indie-emo band founded in 1998. They only released one full length in 1999 and broke up in 2002.
Merel were a chaotic, abrasive, and quite loud experimental hardcore that separated itself from the norm with its unlikely musical creativity from New Jersey. The early recordings 1990 - 1991 was made by some fan I guess, and you can find a link to his blog when you click the title of this post. The early recordings contain a lot of songs which are not on the discography CD. Recommended!
One Hundred Words For Snow / I Wish I Split (1997)
Convolusions (2013)
I Wish I were an emo band from San Diego, California. They played for over seven years breaking it up in late 2000. Now, in 2013, this is read on the Dim Mak webpage: I*Wish*I will be picking up where they left off and reuniting with Dim Mak to breathe life back in their music and hardcore punk roots. I*Wish*I rejoins with debut single “Ideoglossia”, referring to the private languages of young children, especially twins. Their full-length is out now and is called 'Convolusions'.
The Pine is truly one of my favorite bands and here is all the stuff I found of them for so far and I think this is the most complete discography of The Pine you can find on the interwebs.
The Pine is from Bakersfield, CA and play some truly righteous emotional music in the vein of Evergreen. They broke up, but 3/4th of the band are playing together again in their new band Reaching Away. Make sure you download both bands if you haven't yet! Thanks to discohijack.blogspot.com
Discography (i guess) Ache Hour Credo were a short-lived and transitional band hailing from Victoria, B.C. from about 1994 to 1996. They recorded an eleven song demo that wasn’t very circulated and only two songs were officially released (both on compilations).
The Now was a screamo/hardcore band from Freehold, NJ/Philadelphia, PA. With members of Neil Perry, Welcome The Plague Year, Joshua fit for battle, Canephora, Hot Cross, Get Fucked, and A Life Once Lost.
Silver Bearing were an emo/post-hardcore band formed in 1990/1991 in Annapolis, Maryland, but later moved themselves to the San Francisco Bay Area. They existed for about a year, then one of the members moved and that was that. Only thing I could find of them was their split with Moss Icon which is fantastic. Don't understand why they don't get as much recognition as Moss Icon, but who am I to judge.
This is 3/5ths of the New York screamo band Saetia. Off Minor was formed after Saetia broke up in 1999. They produce a difficult blend of elegance and brutality that when meshed together forms something truly amazing.
Crash And Britany were an indie/emo band from Sacramento, CA. The band featured members of The Yah Mos and Pretty girls. They were active from 1992 to 1998.
This was a request for Sam and i must say that i never really liked indie/emo bands with female vocals but this band is just amazing. Enjoy.
A hardcore/emo band from San Diego that pioneered many elements of screamo in 1991. They thrashed about with a sound like none other. After they broke up they went on to form and play with bands such as End of The Line, Antioch Arrow, Spacehorse and Clikatat Ikatowi.
Put this band on my other blog i share with a friend, Screaming at a wall, unfortunately almost no one downloaded them. So lets give them another chance here; Zann is a chaotic hardcore band with screamo influences from Germany founded in 1999. They sprang out of the late 90s hardcore scene in eastern Germany. For the kids by the kids is their Discography cd and includes all vinyl releases until 2004 and the demotape. Three years in the desert is their Brutal bleak Hardcore with Screamo influenced full-length released in 2006.
The Last Forty Seconds was a soulful, moody hardcore band that exsisted for only a short time in 1999/early 2000s, whose extremely emotive songs stood out due to the unique vocals of singer Andy Maddox.
I play lame shockwave games in my freetime, while listening to mozart or beethoven. Only when i'm not studying or watching tv. Skramz does not exist. Amen.
