Assay was a great german emocore band with raspy vocals, a wall of melody and passion, active for a couple of years in the second half of the nineties, with members of the legendary Age, Rusty James and Morser.

Burn Down Rome
Burn Down Rome was a 4 piece band from London playing experimental hardcore. Their first album/ep (Faith In Liars red.) was an experiment in music and it's really bad metal-ish music, but it's fun to hear how much they've grown if you listen to Devotion.
